I\'m off to the Costa del....

Loch lomond/forums/images/icons/wink.gif.
I finish at 4pm for a fortnights holiday,Yippee....... I'll be heading straight home to pick up SWMBO, car is already packed with the food and boat stuff, then straight off the boat/forums/images/icons/cool.gif. Our plan is too spend the full 2 weeks on the boat(depending on weather). Not bad for a small cuddy eh?/forums/images/icons/laugh.gif/forums/images/icons/wink.gif.
Our holiday starts with the Scottish open Golf this weekend, we will be heading down to the golf tomorrow morning, so if you are watching it on telly and see a small Rinker following a Beautiful 33' Riva then its probably me/forums/images/icons/crazy.gif.

Whatever you have planned for the weekend or coming fortnight, Enjoy and take care. All.

And please keep the forum warm for me.

Me too......
I'm off up the Thames tomorrow to personally check that I can now get under all the bridges between here and Oxford using my new super dooper gas strutted radar arch lowering and lifting single handed procedures.......ooooohhh.....bliss.

Two whole weeks of waterborne meandering with the odd nosh and bevvy thrown in for good measure......going to pop in on Byron too........

Have an amazing holiday Al. Will see you over the weekends possibly. Two weeks back we were meandering beside Rob Roy's cave and saw a feral goat at the shore line - big black and long haired with horns that form a complete circle - would not like to meet one up close....... There are 30 or so there including 5 kids. I read up on these and they are decended from Saxon invaders and Vikings stock and still live around the loch at area between Inversnaid and Ivow. With your camera skills you might want want a good pic for your collection?!. Cheers. Roy

For me it doesn't matter wether i get to the boat for the day, weekend or a fortnight, Its just aslong as i am there.

Our little westie once met the goats on the beach opposite Advorloch B&B, They long awesome, but weren't too bad, That was 2 years ago, Some people in the marina were saying that they hadn't seen any this year, and wondered if they had been culled, but i can now tell them they are still there, Ta.

Dave, We are hoping the weather will be descent(fingers crossed). And as usual the camera will be close at hand/forums/images/icons/wink.gif.

Hope the fitting of your new canopy goes ok, when i got a new one 2 years ago for my previous boat, i sent it back 2 twice before i was happy then i paid him, so don't be affraid to say your not happy. But i'm sure you'll love it.

Thats the truth - never seen any yet myself but they are on Inchconnachan Isle and are seen daily. One night, as the story goes, a guy was relieving himself in some bushes and being boozed up and on the funny fags too, came face to nose with a Wallaby which caused him great fear. The guy has been quite bonkers ever since!! Roy

We rowed over onto Inchconnachan last month, had a wonder around and couldn't find any, but yes i believe they are still there.
Another story (I think the same island) is, on the Longest day at midnight the "Little" People make an appearance, and can be seen./forums/images/icons/crazy.gif

If I was you I'd keep off the scothch. little people indeed, you will be telling us its Haggis hunting season next. When I was last there. Arduli at the narrow end we were regaled with monster stories,and all sorts of folklore tales. but no wallabys or little people. we caught no fish either. But seriously its a beautifull place so serene & unspoilt, we rented 2 small motor cruisers & cruised the Loch from one end to the other. great place, great people. hope you enjoy it..........Nat

Apparently the goats went to Beith for a night out a couple of months ago and a couple of them married locals, the heid goat is now master of the local Orange lodge. They will return to their roots soon, butt.
