I\'m looking for a partner

Hi.
I'm doing up a large old catamaran, bringing her up to a good standard, hopefully having her ready about next Spring.

I'm looking for a parner. I really need one, if possible someone who would like to take a part-share in the boat, to help with the costs of refurbishing, etc.

However, the partner would have to be someone who would be happy with my proposed cruising ground. Initially, Lanzarote, in particular Graciosa. After that, I would want to move the boat to the Cape Verde and this would be her permanent base for hopefully a few years, until she returns to the UK for sale.

The partner arrangement would be flexible. Either shared use or sole use. The latter would enable me to come home to my non-sailing husband from time to time, knowing that the boat would be occupied in my absence. If we were both away, she'd have to be parked in the marina at Mindelo. This is new, and is a European-style marina.

If you haven't cruised the Cape Verde, I can tell you it's very interesting. I spent two years there aboard my last boat, and am eager to return.

Another inducement could be that West Africa is near, and its rivers are navigable. I've been there too! Haven't been to the Bijagos though but have all the charts and info.

So.... you see .... I need a partner! Anyone interested?

Hi
Not looking for a partner but some uptodate info on Mindelo.
When I was there you had to take a small plane to another island (paid in cash, US dollars only, then a flight to LISBON,
then a flight to LONDON and finally another flight to GLASGOW.
Where is the new marina and are their direct year round UK FLIGHTS.

Yes, there are direct flights from the UK to Sal, two or three times a week, depending on the season. Also to Boavista.
I believe too that the airport on Sao Vicente is now international, with direct flights, but haven't yet checked it.

If you want to look at the marina in Mindelo, the web address is either marinamindelo.com or else mindelomarina.com - I forget which. They charge European prices, alas.

Last year I flew direct to Sal, then caught a local plane to Santiago. All very easy, and far cheaper than the old route.

Hundreds of new properties popping up everywhere on the islands now. Which means, I guess, that the flights will become more frequent.
