If the Eaast Coast is a bit traditional, who still has a Seagull somewhere?

Me. 1967 model 40, not been out of the garage for about 8 years now.

Next year though.....will be different.

I own a 40+ at the bottom of the Swale near Harty Ferry. In my nightmares it rises to the surface, rips off the Mercury from the tender and clamps itself in its place.

Us westerners can't beat that, FC. :)

Gotta Seagull Featherweight 45 (1988) which had never been used (stored from new) till I bought it last year and on which I changed the oil on the recommendation of S O S. Then ran it in (aren't wheely bins useful :) ) and 'preserved' it so that it's ready for travels.

After 27 years non-use, I put in some decent petrol and oil, and it started after about a dozen pulls.

A 40 + purchased by my father in1960 along with a Century which I sold 15 years ago ( regretfully)
Bought for a Silhouette, The Century as the main drive & the 40+ for the Avon tender. The 40+ would drive the Silhouette quite well
The 40+ works like a dream. but a little heavy

I've got a forty plus, mk. 2. It used to to run but didn't the last time I tried to start it. It lives in the shed along with a Suzuki four stroke which I bought new and is a pile of poo! I actually use a two stroke Mercury on the tender, bought from eBay and works fine. Any offers for the other two?

I have a forty plus which I use every time I go out on the boat it starts second pull, providing I've put the choke on. There is also a century which came from an alacrity several years ago sitting in the garage collecting dust.

What's wrong with the Suzuki? I need another engine, my Yamaha 2hp two stroke has died due to 'dissimilar metals corrosion' in the cooling passages.

I was looking at the Suzuki as it is small and light. Why don't you like it?

Because it has the terrible habit of stopping when you put load on it. Not very helpful when you are trying to get off a lee shore! Google "Suzuki 2.5 problems" for further information.

Only got one now:( a little featherweight for the tender.

My Kingfisher, late recoil start 40+ and a special edition featherweight were all stolen from my conservatory a few years ago.

I still look out on EBay and boat jumbles for them.
