Have you cleared it with the National Trust. Are they ok with it jutting out from the beach at Studland. Needs to be quite long tho, coz at low water it gets very shallow.

yea yea.... go on, give me a load of stick!

we...(all the muppets that have had riverside moorings for years) have just agreed to buy the river from the EA... bloody good idea realy, dunno how much yet, but doesn't matter.

all i need is a decent pontoon mooring that i can lay, and ain't too 'spensive! and i'll be master of ... well just a small amount of river bank....

but be reasured... this time next year... we'll be miwionaires!!!

so stop takin' the piss, and find me some pontoons!!

Why not make one? Oil drums, planks? or are you planning something big and substantial?

nah, i want something decent. and there's the time thing.. untill i get more free time, even the launch has been put on hold.

if i can't find a pontoon, i'll have to rebuild the jetty on my mooring... definitely the second choice.

steve.

There is a place i came across one time somewhere in the lymington area that sells oil drums, cheap. and you could use reconditioned wood, this would keep the price down,

hope this helps/forums/images/icons/smile.gif

MDL have a bunch of them, we could get blacked up, balaclavas etc. No? OK just a suggestion, they wouldn't miss a couple! Take the boats with them, owners wouldn't notice until easter, earliest annd the staff never check.

Why not try Solent Marine, they do recon pontoons or they may have some old carcases you could refit yourself. They did our pontons for our domestic moorings as featured on their web site, very good job too.
