I understand that "type approval" ceased in about 2000, and since then compliance with the R&TTE directive is required.
But this only applies to the first occasion of "taking the device into service".
So does this mean that used equipment, either under R&TTE directive, or under the previous system of type approval that had been brought into service then, and now sold for re-use still complies?
Is my understanding correct?
