Hi

I am hoping someone can assist, I need to obtain a footplate or drawings or a footplate for a Hurley 22 mast.

Any help appreciated

Not that I can actually help with either but do you mean the tabernacle, bolted to the coachroof, or the aluminium "plug" in the bottom of the mast?

Edit: too slow!

Update

Hi

thanks for the quick responses!

I have an alacrity 22, which is based on a jaguar 22 and subsequent hurley 22.

The mast on the alacrity 22 is gone/broke etc, so I have obtained a Hurley 22 mast to replace it. I am looking to 'attach' the mast to the boat by means of a footplate or tabernacle/plug.

I will look on the hurley site thanks!

:)

Hi, does the mast have a name on it, you may find the company is still around so a foot could be purchased, I think from memory the Z Spar section was a Z230 section which comes with a hinging foot, even if not a Z Spars you may find there foot would work. Z230 measures 122 x 82. Hope this helps.

You're right about the Jaguar 22 (and Catalina 22) but I don't think the Alacrity has any relationship with the Hurley 22 since it has a lifting keel and a displacement less than 60% that of the Hurley. This is not to say that the mast won't be fine for your purpose.

The tabernacle is a very simple affair and you should be able to knock one up for a few quid if you have someone who can do the welding for you. I've had a look but don't have any close-up pics for you and I doubt the HOA site will have dimensions but if you join the Yahoo group I'm sure someone closer to their boat than I will be able to help.
