I am wanting to find out some information about the Hunter Madina. It's 20 foot long and that's all I know!
I am specificaly wanting to know how they perform, can they do coastal passages in good conditions. What's the best wind condition for them?
Thanks alot.

Re: Hunter Medina?

I have had one for two years, and am very pleased with it. The PBO article says most of it. The Medina 20 association is alive & kicking thanks to the work of the current committee. They have made a CD with all the back numbers of the association newsletters & technical information for a small fee.

Advantages - good sailing performance. Lifting keel means that shallow water is not a great problem. Hunter made them well. Most are still sailing.

Disadvantages. Lifing keel takes up space below. Bilge keels would not need the keel box. Skittish on mooring (ie swings a lot) as there is little water resistance.
