Can I search for a place on a Garmin plotter with Garmin Navionics+ charts, or search in the companion ActiveCaptain app?
I recently used the excellent Water Kaarten app to navigate the Dutch canals. One of the features is that you can type in the name of the place you want to go and it will find a route there. When there are so many places in an unfamiliar country, the search facility is so helpful.
I also see that Savvy Navvy, on a one year trial via my insurance company, is also able to search for places.
Now I’d like to search for place names on my relatively new Garmin 723 plotter with Garmin Navionics+ charts. I don’t see anywhere to do that. I also cannot find any search function in the ActiveCaptain companion app that functions with the plotter.
Am I failing to notice a search function from Garmin or does Garmin not offer that facility?
