For an older boat how does one go about obtaining a STIX rating, and possibly SSS also?

The boat is what it is, assuming the OPs Rival is what he is interested in, and has proved itself very capable in a wide variety of conditions.
These figures rule out boats like a Hunter 707 and baby Bendytoys - the Rival 32 exceeds them handsomely (or uglily depending on the eye of the beholderSSS: 15
STIX: 23
AVS: 130-0.005*m (where m = the boat's minimum sailing weight)
If its an older boat that raced offshore under CHS, it will have had a STIX or an SS in the past. Even my Evolution 25 had an offshore SSS of 22. Maybe RORC can help iwth historical data/certs?
I assume you are hoping to meet

Yes, that just what I'm wanting to know for.
I'm a little surprised that the IRC list of data for various boats doesn't include any Rivals. Maybe no-one's silly enough (or silly as me) to race them? I see that a Contessa is listed.
So ah'll nae fash masel then.
The CO 32 has it because it was used as the benchmark for STIX as minimum for CatA - at 32, the same as my Bavaria 33! Would not be confident that smaller Rivals (31&2) would meet that.
