The wife?Wonder if he'd part exchange?
The wife?
+1. After nearly 50 years adventures afloat, increasing ill health means last year was probably the last for serious sailing. Like many, we did not launch this year. The refit was stopped in its tracks in March, and health issues in June/July mean the work is still not done. But because of the half finished state of things boat is not saleable. I know now that if I do launch next year I will not do more than a few hours day sailing. Will it be worth the cost and effort? While Im actually afloat yes. But, somehow I just dont think it will be enough.None of us are getting any younger or healthier and at some point we all will have to swallow the anchor. For cruising couples that moment may, sadly, not be symmetrical.
And a trial.I would want a full survey.
And a trial.
Could check the for sale section , maybe no joke !!
Mudisox, I assume you posted this as a joke...tell me you too are mystified at how many people are actually looking at the boat?

...if my wife could no longer sail I might change to a Nimbus or such like .
We must move in very different circles. I know lots of couples who have sailed together all their lives.I've never noticed the sailing side of boat-ownership having any appeal for partners of yachtsmen.
My wife and I sailed in UK/French waters for a couple of decades but eventually she found it too cold and too much faff wearing big plastic coats and trousers whilst getting splashed. We must move in very different circles. I know lots of couples who have sailed together all their lives.
