How many leisure boats never go anywhere?

It is hard to understand some people. Until recently there were two adjacent boats in our marina owned by the same bloke. They were both in a decrepit state in spite of the fact that neither was very old and they had a distinct value. I think they were both Legends, and every bit of them was green or black. The owner came down regularly, stayed for a day or two on one without going out, had no wish to dispose of either and presumably happily paid his dues to the marina. When I last saw them there was some serious pressure-washing being done on both, before disposal.

The more boats tied up going nowhere, the less cluttered the seas and the more chance of privacy at anchor

Ours moves few miles per year, but is used several days every week of the year. Using a boat does not have to imply moving it!
