How heavy is a Hillyard 4 tonner?

I still can't find any reference to whether Hillyard calculated their tonnage figures in a different way to standard, or simply had flat batteries some days in their slide rule, or rounded figures up rather optimistically.

There doesn't appear to be any consistent difference between the HT and TM figures to suggest there was any 'process' to the differences. But as the Tonnage was essentially a marketing tool to describe to potential customers 'how much' boat they were getting for their money, I wonder if the present day scourge of 'marketing speak' might have had an early practitioner.

I sold Flap at the start of the 2011 season following a winter ashore in Dunure.
She was in Ayr for the season and has been in Irvine over the2012 season.
The new owner elected to keep her name, which I was pleased about.
