I have just received the following email, anyone else got it? Fancy sending this to Yorkshire)
Mr. Andrew Yubimaye,
First Mercantile Finance Limited,
Johannesburg,
South Africa.
Tel: +27 73 2668535.
Dear Sir,
I am Andrew Yubimaye, Accounts Executive of First
Mercantile Finance Limited, Johannesburg-South Africa.
I write in strict confidence concerning a matter of
great importance. Hopefully, we can work together.
I am privy to a matured fixed cash deposit, made with
my bank by Dr Kenneth Harrison of Harrison Exploration
Limited, Ontario-Canada on the 15th of April 1998.
The above-mentioned is deceased and I have an
arrangement with his Attorney to negotiate with
somebody of reliable standing to assist us in a
working collaboration to pay out the deposit specified
above, now valued at US$14.23M, for our private
purposes as the Sum was not quoted in the late
Geologist’s Will. The remainder of his Estate has
since been disbursed to his family and only an
individual with the backing of the Attorney can claim
the Deposit presently with my Bank.
The Deposit matured on the 15th of April 2001.
According to South African Monetary Law, barring the
presentation of a claim of ownership, at the
expiration of two Calendar years after the date of
maturity of a fixed Deposit, an unclaimed
interest-yielding account automatically reverts to the
ownership of the South African Government, with a 10%
percent Commission for the holding Bank.
We intend to appropriate the Deposit for ourselves and
I am soliciting your assistance in this endeavor in
return for 20% of the payment when the transaction is
concluded.
I have the full backing of the Attorney of the
original Depositor and it is my fervent wish that you
add your cooperation to make this project a success.
Kindly, inform me of your decision through my
telephone number, as specified above or by email.
I await your response while thanking you for your
time.
Respectfully,
A. Yubimaye.
