Update / correction. If you have a PC or Mac you can route plan, compensating for tidal streams using Google Earth. visitmyharbour.com has chart overlays for Google Earth and there is an e-book available showing how to load them on route list.co.uk.

This has to be the cheapest possible way to route plan for tidal effects.

As far as I know there are good websites that offers good money on boating and sailing. These are Yachtsman dot com, MacGregor Sailboats, The Sail Warehouse and Sailing Pro Shop that gives you detailed information on these equipments.

Manuals for all sorts of Maine Eqipment

This site is in German, but Google Toolbar translates it. It consists of links to PDF files of manuals for dozens of makes of equipment, many of which are in English. Apologies if its already on here, but I only found it today.
