Has anyone been to LIBS today?

All set to go this morning, or so I thought. All excited etc etc saying to Chris...'Ok hon, shall we go?' His reply?...'Really don't fancy it today, just wanna chill tbh.' Now completely deflated so submersing myself in grumpy cleaning! :(:(

Just tell him you are going and taking the credit card - he'll come along quickly enough

Is that the Azimut 46 that you've bought Roger? Lovely boats.

Yep, that's the one.
I must say the Azimuts stack up to the other manufacturer's similar offerings extremely well even at this size. The boss quite prefers it over the Phantom while the Italian styling and internal layouts suit us well too. The boat has a high spec in its own right and now with various items replaced and brought up to current digital standards, she should do the job very well. :encouragement:

Essex Boat Yards have done an outstanding job bringing her up together too. I saw her last week and it now looks like a different boat from when I first saw her. Not long now, starting to look forward to climbing aboard now. :)

I'm quite looking forward to moving away from VP green lumps too. Every time I mention green lumps to certain forumites, they just spit feathers. :D

Still, the show was good and something there for everyone.

Although I was not looking with intent, I did consider the rib eye and other inflatable manufacturers had put on a very good display.

You should've gone: really quiet when we were there earlier today. Plenty of parking available underneath Excel (although it's gone up again this year, now £15). It's a small show though, has to be said.

Wow, another forum Snazi. We are generating quite a collection, brilliant. :)

Jimmy can you have a look at the rib eye stand if you get time and see if they have much choice in the 2.3-2.8 range in the tl model

cheers shawn

Shawn, the Ribeye stand wasn't bad in the end, they had two of the smaller TL's on display, with show offers. Hope this helps:

As an ex owner of a Snazi 46 and 2 other Italian boats since, maybe we should start our own little Italian boat forum:D Agree the AZ46 does stack up well against the competition

cheers jimmy

was thinking about the TL 260 model will have a chat with them on Saturday, thanks for the pictures, I will leave the pink one for someone else (Katie price probably) lol

There's quite a good showing of tenders generally, you should be able to find something useful. They're bound to do you a 'show price' for the TL260 if you ask.

Shawn, I have the 260, and it fits nicely on my bathing platform, giving access to both transom doors. She has a 6hp Yammy which is not the smoothest engine, but I recall you have a 2 stroke which should be much more refined, and give lower speed torque.

You moved over to Cats then roger? If so have you had a quote from finnings for future servicing?

I can't believe how quiet the show was today.

Several of the boats we looked over had app-playing sales people stood nearby, who all looked decidedly under occupied.

Unless it gets busier later in the week I fear for the future of LBS.

We had an entertaining moment on the Princess stand when the on-duty boat girl asked a few rehearsed questions.

"Where do you sail your boat from?" She asked.

"Ocean Village in Southampton" I answered.

"And so, do you go on the sea, or rivers like the Thames from there?" She asked.

" You don't sail do you?" I said.

"No, but I'm learning quickly. You should look at Fairlines too. Everyone else who comes here has been there."

Fair advice. So I did. Unfortunately they wouldn't let us look at their boats without registering, but given the queue we didn't bother. I hope that Fairline find some customers from the line of school kids registering.

Final reflections?

Never has so much effort been made by so many exhibitors for so few customers.

Cheers

Garold.
