The question is.
A) if I fit this mast can I still use the sail's from the ali mast
B) Can anyone recamend a good book that covers this subject with regards how to rig stays ect
C) If this is not a vailied option

thanks

I don't know the boat, but the mast must be in awefull condition for you to consider fitting a Gunter rig. To my mind the fractional rig is the most efficient and most easily adjustable to conditions I say stick with it. If the mast is so bad you can add strenthening patches to corroded areas etc.
Doesn't a gunter rig have a gaff etc? I wouldn't think your main sails would suit. Regards Will
