A hearty hello from Tobago!

I haven't been able to update my website for ages mainly because I've perfected laziness here in sunny Tobago.

The crossing from Brazil to here was uneventful and a mistake - have crossed the doldrums twice this year. What a drag!

I won't have another opportunity to get to an internet cafe before I fly back to London in Jan, so seasons greetings to you all and I hope to see many of you at the Guiness Tent at the boat show

Best regards

John

Would do so if I knew exactly what date I was getting back.

What dates are the boat show?

I hope you are in Charlotteville, Tobago! I spent Christmas there last year and you wont meet a nicer nunch of people. Toni, one of the fisherman caught us a kingfish for our dinner and another of the locals affectionally called Black Boy taught me to dance Carribean probably!

The boat was there for 3 weeks in total and the village gave us a leaving party in the street by the pier. Most memorable night!

Unfortunately, I have to fly back to do some work (yep, the worst of all the four letter words).

unless you're desperate, why leave the caribbean in the sailing season to come back to the cold wet UK? in your place i'd enjoy the rest of the season and come back here in june. (leaving the boat in trinidad, not grenada :)
