Yes, that is the current position and your calculation is correct. The implementation of the tax is however delayed until at least the end of February because the online tax system used to collect it (TAXIS) will not be operational before then.

There is a link at the bottom of that page to an English translation of the original Greek law.
Further to Tony's answer, to clarify: The Tax as currently written is a calendar monthly tax, so runs 1st to 30th. The Ministry of Shipping (MoS) (the implementors of the tax) are endeavouring to get the Ministry of Finance (MoF) to make it a running month. So it could cost them 3 months under current rules. I suspect that we all will know by the end of the month. I am not sure whether or not that the tax will be delayed longer than the end of Feb. As there are ongoing discussion between the MoS and the MoF still going on at the moment, I doubt that they can get it all together by the end of this month.
