I used to have a little programme which - after inputting my earthly location - drew a neat, colorful digram on a single page, of the sunrise and set times, civil and nautical twilights. It also had the solar lemma diagram, which is quite useful.

Alas, it has gone to the great Deleted directory in the sky when I upgraded my HDD recently.

Any suggestions, oh respected collegiate marine intelligence, as to a decent free programme which will do this, please ?

I keep ending up with sundial programs, or huge Excel spreadsheets, when using "sunrise sunset times" as a search term :(

I may be wrong but I think sunrise and sunset is programmed onto some chart plotters and maybe some GPS.

I'm sure someone out there will either shoot me down or confirm.

Here's one I just prepared

It is Friday and the boat is out of the water, so for my amusement I created a graph as asked for. It is exel but scarecly huge and anyway I've put the input parameters (lat and long only) and the graphs of sunrise and sunset times in GMT, as well as the equation of time and the Analemma on one sheet.

Note: best download the exel to your computer since Googledocs makes such a hash of presenting data, splitting it across multiple sheets.

These are the graphs (for an arbitrary position somewhere near Lincolnshire)

In all a pointless project since doubtless there are prettier versions available elsewhere on the web, but the workings of this one are maybe easier to see and you can change line colours, thickness, labels, grids etc to your preferences.
