I have not yet ventured outside the marina this year but next Sunday should see Legacy heading upriver to South Stoke for the ODCC 60th Anniversary celebrations which pretty much coincide with Her Maj's Coronation Diamond Jubilee.
The weather is still not up to much so I do hope it will improve. The last two occasions I have made this trip at this time of year I have come back downriver trying to keep ahead of red boards - our presence above Cleeve at the late spring bank holiday seems to be a bit of a rain magnet so I am hoping this year will be better!
I have treated the boat to a nice new cushion to provide fill in seating in the way of the transom gate and I am sitting here waiting for a nice new all singing all dancing tv to arrive - luxury indeed with freeview/dvd/pvr etc and only a single remote control to master compared with the multiple box current offering - trying to manage two remotes has become just too much, and just think of the power saving !
So, fingers and toes and wotever crossed folks - and if you see us passing by give its a wave or invite us to join you for a drink
