Anyone out there tried any Glass Fibre polish restorers that work really well?

My Seawych (Gel Coat Aircraft Grey Top and White Hull) glassfibre work is totally flat, and I know it hasn't been polished by the previous owner for perhaps a decade.

I have previously used Y10 for taking out stains which was superb, but what about cutting and polishing?

Personal experience is the best gauge....perhaps you could let me know + where it can be bought.

Thanks
Alan

Hello again Alan

The subject of restoring faded and dull gelcoats has been discussed on this forum several times. My Seawych is a red one and I restored it from a dull pink to almost new looking using one of Farecla's products aimed at the motor refinishing trade.

I note that you are in the motor trade so I suggest you talk to the guys in your body shop about the rubbing copounds they use and the foam compounding mops to go with them. You are in the fortunate position that you will probably be able to borrow all the gear get expert advice and maybe get someone to do it for you.

A search on these forums for Farecla will turn up what has been said before.

Vic

Farecla always has a good number of supporters. An equal number swear by the 3M range of marine products.
