If I were to read all the recent posts on here, and were thinking of going sailing next week, d'you think I would be enthused or discouraged?

Discouraged, but what we need is one of those photos of yachts at anchor with the sun setting over Studland Bay, sort of PBO editorial photo and then everyone will be looking forward to going again.

Have been ashore now for three weeks and have to stay that way till Son graduates on Wednesday....then I'm off. Could not care less what the weather does or anyone writes...just need to get on a boat again.

Beware! the seahorse police will want you roasted over a slow fire.

If you like boating then it's a must that you must also like doing a bit of maintenance and/or going for a beer, cos if you can't do the first you then have two choices.

Yesterday was wet and windy, engine check done, Amstel was cold.

Same weather here but hadn't even set foot on the boat for two weeks so went out and fitted solar trickle charger, listened to CH16, hung the fishing rod over the side for a bit..... and felt the tension draining..... I am actually going sailing this week though! :D
