Re: next car

suppose you must have been got by the unmarked volvos that they are using on the A3 and M27 at the moment. Really sorry to hear about your losses. If anything I can do here, just give me a shout.

So much for trackers, mind you if it was stolen to order (most likely) then it was inside a container before you even found out it was missing, and thus unlikely for tracker to be able to work.

I know how you feel we had our house done twice, last time was new years eve had all the electrical gear away, kids pressies and just about anything that wasn;t a permanent fixture, bloody insurance company wanted to see a receipt for EVERYTHING and then insisted on new security measures and doors ended setting me back a few k, just to add insult to injury.SWMBO refused to stay in the house on her own and made sure I went in first for months afterwards!!!
The car is nothing, the feeling that some uninvited scum bag has been in the house takes a while to subside.

You do have my sympathy

Re: next car

Be a real b*gger to have had a car like that stolen, and not have given it a bit of a thrash! I hope the tracker does its job.

You are certainly having an annus horriblis - hope it is not catching

Sorry to hear about your situation, its not too long til the end of the year and hopefully you've had all your bad luck for several to come!I've heard that as cars are becoming more difficult to steal they now break into houses to get the keys.
Regards, Al.
PS make sure you chain your pushbike up.

A mate of mine's place was done this week too. He'd just popped out for a couple of hours. Got back and they'd swiped the laptops and any other electronic goodies they could lay their hands on (including a bit of my dev kit *sigh*).

Not sure if they found the guns, but at least they weren't nicked (being very securely locked away). Of course, he's worried that they may be back now having cased the place.

A horrible feeling knowing someone has been in the place, but glad you're all safe at least.

Re: pic

Think on the bright side Matt,

You really did enjoy that car didn't you????

Well if you go out now and order another, it'll be delivered in time for you getting your licence back/forums/images/icons/smile.gif/forums/images/icons/wink.gif.

But hangon, why not go the next step up and get the lastest style of E-class, and get the Brabus version, I'm sure you'd enjoy the V12 6.3L Bi-turbo, an awful lot more than the AMG 5.5L /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Really sorry to hear this, tcm. I hope you and D can get over it.
Same thing happened to us a couple of years back only we were'nt even in bed but in the lounge in broad daylight. First thing we heard was dog going ballistic followed by SWMBO's Saab dissapearing down the road.
A neighbour witnessed the whole scene and even got the reg no of the car that the scum rolled up in and a description of men involved. Police were absolutely f*****g useless - wont bore you or forum with the story but it ended up with a policemen suggesting to me that I drove around the local area myself looking for this other vehicle! I guess they were all busy chasing real criminals breaking speed limit on A3

Sorry to here about your troubles, hope you and your family are soon back to normal. We seem to hear more and more tales like this and as a previous user stated thes days it is very common if not normal for the low life scum to break into your house in order to obtain keys. Maybe we should all learn from this and hide our keys away. It's a poor time we live in when you have to think like this however.
Its of no comfort but last week a top Chief constable, or the like; allegedly stated "catching criminals is no longer our main priority" (or words to that effect). What was meant by that exactly I do not know.
Regards - Ian

Had the same experience myself years back when , OK don't laugh, 2 day old MG Maestro Turbo got nicked, "Go chase em yourself". Happily my big brother had suped up Range Rover and we did and caught em, with a little local "help", still in my car. Kicking they got was reported by attending copper as "accident damage" luckily. Actual judicial system gave them a caution!!

I think you deserve some rant space!

Hope they catch the bastards and string them up by their goolies. Or better still allow you to do the stringing.

Time to get a big ugly dog?
