I've tried Pantaenius too.

The Yachting 24 policy offered by Pantaenius is an insurance policy underwritten in Germany and possibly other European insurers and outside of any assistance offered by the Financial Conduct Authority or Financial Ombudsman Service.
Down to how comfortable you feel .
Remember Edward William and or Northern Reef debacles reported on the forums and subsequently struck off on the FCA register.
Ross,
Just a thought, is the issue more about where the boat will be based than about your experience? Is this more challenging than say a typical Solent marina?
...
I thought he was thinking of the Mersey.Seems unlikely to me - the Solent is much like the M25 but with 20 ton yachts in place of cars! The scope for collisions seems almost boundless!

I don't know it at all, but even in one of his posts he wondered if it was a good place for a beginner.
So, whether they are satisfied with the qualifications I have is not clear - obviously I was honest in stating what had. Also, for Sadler 26 with combined value of hull and personal effects for 13,500, they are asking for 550 a year*. Pricey?
Y-Yacht Insurance got back to me with 220 ish for UK waters on 23,000 value. There isn't any restrictions accept I cannot sailer longer than 18 hours in one go without a 8 hour break.
So UK not included from next weekend?Pantaenius gave me a no-strings online quote for a hull value of 45 + 10k personal effects on their EU coastal (< 20nm off) for just under 600. That's with a day skipper and about a month's charter / flotilla in Greece + being desperate enough to add 8 year's no claims inland boating with a bit of tidal.
