Morning all, I have just fitted a new force 10 oven, looking for a gas safe engineer to connect the gas pipe, any recommendations, boat is on the hard at essex marina
Thanks

its gas unless you have a manometer to test for leaks after don't do it yourself else one day you could end up with a pile of ex-boat kindling.
I'll do most things myself but wont touch gas.

Simple DIY job, you said so yourself. Don't worry if it's suitable or safe, it's only gas.

The OP initially said he'd installed a new cooker and just needed it connecting. This is, as I said, a simple DIY job; just buy an appropriate low-pressure flexible hose complete with fittings, and pop it on. I've done it myself a number of times. However, the OP now says that it's a high pressure connection, and that in addition it's galvanised steel. This is a rather different situation.

So you're withdrawing your advice that anything to do with gas is a simple DIY job that anyone can do?
