Morning all, I have just fitted a new force 10 oven, looking for a gas safe engineer to connect the gas pipe, any recommendations, boat is on the hard at essex marina

No, it's sensible. How difficult is it to replace a bit of hose with a clip on each end?

It costs £137 to renew a registration for a year. Additional engineers in a business are £25.98

It’s a high pressure galvanised steel hose, not sure I have the skills to change the end fitting, I’m going to check Google and youtube to see what’s involved.

its gas unless you have a manometer to test for leaks after don't do it yourself else one day you could end up with a pile of ex-boat kindling.
I'll do most things myself but wont touch gas.

That's why I won't let anyone else touch my gas and installed it myself!

just stick an old bike inner tube on it and a couple of jubilee clips, it'll be fine

When Mistral installed my brand new cooker, the pressure test revealed a defective cooker... i.e. a leak!

The OP initially said he'd installed a new cooker and just needed it connecting. This is, as I said, a simple DIY job; just buy an appropriate low-pressure flexible hose complete with fittings, and pop it on. I've done it myself a number of times. However, the OP now says that it's a high pressure connection, and that in addition it's galvanised steel. This is a rather different situation.
