There is a gaskit available in India which is used in 9.9 and other engine which runs on kerosene, this gaskit help the engine to run on LPG gas which is very economical and pollution free.

There was an article in PBO, (March2004) about the exploits of a guy who converted his inboard power boat to run on gas. Results were not good in that his engine blew up after no more than a couple of months. It seems that LPG burns hotter than petrol, so it puts more load on the valves and cooling system of the engine. Older engines can't cope. Also, in UK, not so easy to find refuelling points.

Cheers! Neil
