I've got no connection to this company - but I've had some great service off them over the past couple of days. In short, late on Monday afternoon I sent an email to them asking for some graphics to be made up for the new boat. I specified the font, font weight, size of lettering, the words I wanted, and the spacing. I asked if there was any chance I could get everything delivered by Thursday because we are taking possession of the boat on Friday.

A few mins later the phone rang, it was Mark from Funky Monkey - all ok, he took the card details, promised that everything would be in the post special delivery on Tuesday, to be delivered here Wednesday - today.

Sure enough this morning at 8am the postman turned up with the package. However ... owing to a miscomm between me and Mark, one of the graphics was in the wrong colour vinyl. So I sent another quick email to Mark with the problem - and as well as supplying the correctly-coloured graphics, he even went to the trouble of delivering the replacements to Fairline Southampton this morning, ready for me to apply to the boat, which I did this evening.

Pretty impressive stuff. Things go wrong with suppliers all the time, it's a fact of life. It's how they respond to these little hiccups that marks out the good guys.

So: I recommend Funky Monkey boat names - they know how to look after their customers.

Cheers
Jimmy

and just so I can stay well clear, what is the name Jimmy?
Are you afloat this w/e? Might wave you off, like the cruise ships.

I will third that Jimmy - brilliant service, Mark could not be more helpful - he even made me some small names out of super sticky stuff for putting on the dingy, lifebelts etc and they work really well.

D6-350's. Ding dong! I know I won't be able to keep up with all these scallywags in their Khamsin 34's, but I am going to have a blimmin good try...

Cheers
Jimmy

Yip agreed, Funky Monkey are the business. We also used them for our commercial vehicles.

Recommended to me by Hurricane and I am very happy to pass on the recommendation.

Congratulation's on the new Targa...I am sure you will enjoy! We should be taking delivery of our new P42 in a week...can't wait. Let's hope for a great summer

Cheers, Tom

Seventhded. I also ordered a sticker from them in the wrong colour. Not only did I receive the new one in the right colour the following morning, they also refused to charge me for it, even though, in my case, it was completely my fault.

Yup, I have been really pleased with Funky Monkey too.

Jimmy - it's a bit much to casually announce that you are about to take ownership of a gorgeous vessel like a T40 and not put up some pics. Kindly rectify the situation at the first opportunity. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Agreed - get the finger out. Pics are mandatory or be reported to mods /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Huge apologies. Here at JTB towers the excitement has been steadily building all week; really looking forward to it all now. I think I've done everything except sort out the ships radio licence, oh, and find a berth /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif. Roll on tomorrow! (I will have pics soon, I promise!). Assuming the money shows up with Essex Boatyards in time I think we're planning to have a few drinks in Velshedas at Swanwick marina tomorrow night, all welcome.

Cheers
Jimmy
