Fun, fun, fun....seawater pump hose replacement

Yes, the cabinet is behind my feet as it wouldn't go through the cabin door without being dismantled......
Impeller changed while I was there....

You know after seeing so many pics of people working on their boats in awkward positions, I won't complain about having to work on the Ocean 37...
It is a pain having to shift the furniture and then roll back the carpet, lift the floor just to check the oil levels etc., everything else is then just beyond arm reach so I bought one of those gardening extension grips so I could reach into the bilge and pick up anything dropped or left there. :)

Ha if you think thats hard , buy a Fairline Turbo 36 .
At least you do not have to cut a hole in the shower tray to do anything to the stern glands.
As for changing the impeller on any Princess 360 with Volvo Pentas !

Course boat builders and designers have learnt loads and things are so much better these days ?
Friend has Rodman with pair of D6s, dropped a socket in the bilge, it will probably be staying there. !

My first thought at looking at that rectangular void....is that you removed the engine to access the hose. I take it that it’s just an under floor locker 🤷‍♂️🤔
Not quite, that's access from one of the cabins, remove the beds and some of the bed platform, remove a cabinet and remove the plate that then gives access through the bulkhead into the engine room (TAMD71B's) allowing you to cripple yourself removing the pump end of the hose using a dremel to cut through the reinforcing wire.
As you can see, access is err limited in the engine room.

The wiring looks nicely clipped. How did they manage that?

I feel your pain…..today I fitted new taps. I’m 6ft 4 but somehow fit half myself into the tiny cupboard under the sink. It’s a nightmare job as there’s no room to swing a spanner! 🤣🤣
