My first thought at looking at that rectangular void....is that you removed the engine to access the hose. I take it that it’s just an under floor lockerReplacing the seawater strainer hose to the pump, starboard engine.

Not quite, that's access from one of the cabins, remove the beds and some of the bed platform, remove a cabinet and remove the plate that then gives access through the bulkhead into the engine room (TAMD71B's) allowing you to cripple yourself removing the pump end of the hose using a dremel to cut through the reinforcing wire.My first thought at looking at that rectangular void....is that you removed the engine to access the hose.
