At the moment all theories carry equal merit….all I want is an inexpensive fix
In the history of the World Wide Web two events stand out….the first was the censorship of YBW (and events that we can’t discuss show where censorship leads).
The next event was the migration of YBW forumites to different platforms…the sensible ones went to Not The Lounge…while the sensitive ones went to Discord
Hence I was run out of townBouba, in Discord, you can block the sensitive ****s
Bouba, there's a carburetor/fuel/whatever test kit with a big 80mm gauge measuring little that I had to use to spot a loose connection on my diesel generator supply line. This silly gauge wont do you anygood! you need something like this:
Engine Fuel Vacuum Pump Pressure Gauge Tester Device Valve Check Carburettor Kit | eBay
you can also then use it in your car and outboard engines![]()
Latest…again frustratingly inconclusive ?
After putting in 10 litres and waiting four days there was a small amount of liquid that I pumped out of the hull….but it was only a cup or two not the half litre a day…and it looked watery and it did rain lightly one day.
So I am about to add another ten litres of diesel
No.. I was putting that off until I have a definitive result and a quote…because it’s a job for the wife (who is a fluent French speaker) and I try not to bother her unless absolutely necessary ?Bouba, have you checked to see if your insurance would cover this?
Yes...unfortunately I had to take some time out to study...I feel like a result will be due in two days?Three and a half months and you have confirmed you may have a leak, at this rate you will be ready to go for the new season ....in 2023 ?
Two more days is all I need ?Diesel and water don't mix so as for looking watery that's grasping at some sori of straw. 10 L across the tank is not going to give any sort of head (pressure) that would cause a small leak to be anything other than a slow one. Without doubt you have a tank leak you now need to decide what you want to do about it and who you want to do it, you clearly don't want to take the bull by the horns and do it yourself so it's a matter of finding a professional company that will remove the tank or better still prior to that doing a proper pressure test over a period of a few hours with a sensitive manometer. Then they can tell you what your options are as to removing the tank, replacement or repair. Get on with it man.
Two more days is all I need ?
you obviously don’t know me very well ?Stop procrastinating.
Was a proper pressure test actually made? And if yes, how?redo the pressure test
I tried to do it myself....not easyWas a proper pressure test actually made? And if yes, how?
Sorry for asking, rather than go back through 500 posts...![]()
