Interested to know why you are doing that, are there indications of rough running etc?
We seem to have a’blow back’ past 1 of the injectors which is blowing a small amount of air (from the cylinder) back to the filter which after a while causes the engine to stop.

Do you mean blow back to the the breather filter. If so this has nothing to do with the state of the injector. However you may well still have the blowback after the injector service as the problem is the fit of the injector in the sleeve in the cylinder head. Have you checked that the injector securing nuts are tightened to the correct torque Unfortunately if leakage isn't dealt with promptly the leaking gases cause further damage to the sealing face of the sleeve. Examine this when the injector is removed it may be possible to fix this if not excessive.
