What a refreshing change!

I paid a visit to Shepperton Marina today to purchase some fuel - wow they have changed things down there. Firstly they have dropped the price of 60/40 from £1.05 to £1.04 a litre(not much but at least it is a drop) they have improved the fuel station with fresh paint and fencing. I was served by a very helpful guy. He told me that Shepperton Marina now deal with fuel sales not Lindon Lewis thats why the changes have been made.

When I paid for the fuel I was given a 10% discount voucher off cranage - as I understood it Shepperton Marina will be taking on the crane as of 1 October - he also gave me a neat little card called Fast Fuel, this has the marinas phone number on it and all I have to do is call the number when I reach the marina and they will meet me at the pumps.

That is what I call a smart service.

Central heating fuel or City Diesel?

Bloke selling at Bourne End just said "red" when I asked so basicaly he didn't know, I understood from an MBM report last year that all inland diesel retailers had to sell "biodiesel" from this year which is basicaly roadcar city diesel, but of course this has a shelf life unlike basic "central heating " red so not a good idea for leaving over winter etc.. Its a bit confusing at the moment.

The diesel I purchased from Shepperton Marina was ultra low suphur - which is from what i understand is the best.(please correct me if I am wrong) I also forgot to mention that I was also given a 10% discount voucher off craneage. (Nice)
