Hi just fitted a danfoss/ dometic compressor and cold plate, the type with precharged lines. in use the lines are icing up all the way back to the compressor. when at the boat show i discussed this with one of the reps, who gave me the advice to release some of the gas in the system. Only problem I've forgotten the detail. Along the lines of turn on? purge some gas for 5 secs and watch where icing occurs. TIA.

It is possibly illegal to discharge refrigerant into the atmosphere but having said that you might like to look at Recharging marine refrigeration systems
