French skipper dead

Yesterday morning a French yacht disintegrated on the rocks on the Praia das Furnas in the C.St.Vincent area.The 76 year old skipper was found wearing a lj but dead.

Over the years there have been several oldish singlehanded sailors rescued from the rocks off Galicia the first land fall after crossing the Biscay and quite a few not so old ulled from the sea or picked up by the rescue helicopter based near Coruna.
