Just wondering if it is possible to moor for free on the pontoons south of Agmar Marina? I understand that you can free swing etc... and that both Agmar and Evros offer overnight stays, but someone mentioned to me the other day that there was a "free" section, and I can't find any info on it.

Appreciate any info you may all be able to share.

Cheers, PT

No pontoons that I know of. The town quay is nominally free but I think I have heard of occasional collections of a small fee. Can be a bit rolly in SW winds and untenable in strong southerlies. It's a continuation of the marina towards the town but without lazy lines.

Because some are living on a budget .I don't like paying, as most of the time there are no services provided by the locals, just poor quays paid out from grant money from EU .
It's a bit like paying to park in the High Street when you can park for free at out of town shopping .

Turns out to be EUR 6.49 for our 12.2 meters. As it happens we chose to haul out at Partheni to do the work out of the water, rather than try to do it in the water at Laki.

Cheers, PT
