Forum tactics

Never, 90% of the posters I encounter are extremely helpful and polite, 5% are just having a laugh and the other 5% are a bit moronic, but it does make it interesting if not a little frustrating at times. :D

Not Surprising

To put some (weird) logic to it, if indeed it's true. (Can't say I've especially noticed myself).

If you think about it, this forum is populated by peeps that spend as much time as they can spare in the sunshine and fresh air out enjoying their boats. Which cost them a lot of money and heartache, but to a man/woman they justify it to themselves somehow for the few really memorable days in glorious sunshine each year.

Now consider that those same peeps are probably currently wondering how to pay this years marina/mooring/maintenance bills whilst not getting any of the benefits. Last years season seems a long time ago and summer seems even further away. :(

Then consider the true scientific truth that exposure to sunlight keeps us all healthy and happy and that these poor buggers have probably been couped up during daylight hours working hard to try to pay for stuff and therefore not seen the sun in weeks!!

"Bitchy"!!! It's a wonder we're speaking to each other at all!!!! :D

also some of us are out in the caribbean and anxious to mention the fact that we're in the sunshine all the time, which itself is quite a bitchy thing to say, and/or encourages a bitchy sort of response from other people, which is sort-of the intention.

It sounds wonderful, but where do you go on holiday? What do you look forward to? Don't you get bored with all that sunshine/free time?

3-4 degrees today but feeling warmer in the bright sunshine and light winds. It was a beautiful day in a beautiful place, but it gets dark very early and a week in the Caribbean or the Canaries would be nice round about now :-)
