Forum Dive cruise On Blue Angel october 2013

FLIGHTS BOOKED :D And SWMBO and I didn't even argue... instead she just went and booked flights for a girlie holiday so everyone's a winner! (Except the person I have to share a room with on BA... god help you!)

Looking at my diary yesterday and thought to myself "3 weeks from today...." :D

A question for you gentlemen: Will Bushmills Black Bush satisfy your whiskey palette?

you know we are spoiled here on BA,
having had some Scottisch single malts last year (and this year)
but we are pleased to tease some Irish destillery aswell :-)

If you're drinking single malts last year, I better do the same this year... will bring a single malt for when we're feeling fancy, and the cheap stuff for when it gets dark and no one can see the bottle :D :D :D

Folks, thought i'd ask this on the forum rather than e-mail as it's a general query....

What weather are we to expect? Myweather2.com suggests temps between 17 - 22 degrees, but in reality what is suitable clothing for that time of year? I'm guessing shorts during the day and light pants at night? T-shirts and maybe a light jumper/ Surely no need for a jacket at all?

for the coming week prediction is still very good, 20...24°C, and flat sea,
yesterday night sat outside the restaurant in Menton with short trousers and T-shirt,

but when mistral comes, can be more chilly...

tomorrow my Belgium dive friends will come onboard, and they will do a pre-FDC dive exploration of the area :)

while I entered Antibes PV this afternoon, Jfm just left the marina with Match,
he had to blow his kahlenbergs in my direction, so that two hours later I still suffer ear problems
boys and their toy's :) :) :)

Nice one, Bart!

As a thank-you for having us, if we bump into JFM I will re-pay him the favor by rattling out my worst singing voice after a few :D :D - he'll have worse ear problems than you!

Blue Angel is moored in Antibes PV
old port, poste 32, right near quai of billionaires ;-)
today we've cleaned the boat,
loaded with food and drinks and goody's, all ready to leave
we're expecting the guests / forum folks tomorrow,
and start cruising on monday morning

this weekend is bad weather in Antibes, clouds, some rain and windy
but prediction for the coming week is good,
>20°C and little wind for the first part of the week

on monday we will go east, Villefranche, Monaco, Menton, details tbc

I am sure Mrs BartW really appreciates you taking her out to a posh restaurant for dinner tonight....before the hordes decend upon you both tommorrow. :D

do you want to know something,
she prefers NOT to go out tonight, and stay on the boat, just the two of us
as she's too exhausted from polishing the boat, and tidiing up the beds :)

Wife's just read Monaco may be on the itinerary
Now wants to repack her cloths as nothing to wear

Tell her to bring / wear what she feels comfortable with, thats what i' ve done all my live without any problem,
Casual clothes were 'Hip' this summer in St Tropez i have been told.
Did i tell that St tropez is on our itinery ? :-)

Good luck and safe journey to all who sail on BA during the cruise, hoping to read some great reports over the coming week or so, and of course hoping for great weather.

Crikey, didn't realise Monaco was on the list.

Better un-load some of this single malt and put some actual clothes in my bag then :D :D

Bus leaves my home-town at 5:15am to the airport, doubt i'll get much sleep in the meantime, looking forward to this trip too much!

Well as it happens I was just walking past so jumped on and said hello!

Great to meet you all and I hope you have a cracking week.

Further thanks to the others will follow once the rose has worn off...

cheers
