Has anybody here actually fitted the 2.5 FSD kit from Lancing Marine.

Was wondering if there are any quirks or pointers. For example where does the crank case breather go. Fuel return/injector leak off back to the tank or to the filter.

Any photos I can look at?

I have bought the kit and the 70hp transit engine and just want to get things in my head where to start.

I went to Lancing to get the kit this weekend but unfortunately they didn't have one in heir yard to look at. I took my camera specially too!

I know I can call them with questions but some "Well they said that but it's easier to do it like this " type comments would be usefull.

Thanks

Scott

Only problem I had with a Ford XLD was that the bolt holes which take the engine mounts were non metric and the original bolts which held the automobile engine mounts were too short to go through the aluminium marine mounting legs. Mine was not a Lancing kit so could be longer bolts are included in the Lancing Kit if the FSD engine mounts are the same as the XLD

That was always the problem with Lancing.

In these days of Digital Cameras would it really kill them to take pictures of how to assemble it and bundle a instruction sheet?

Not much to ask for 800 odd quid.

Must admit that's kind of what I was expecting.

They must sell quite a few of these and although I suspect it is straight forward once you have done two or three, most DIY would be once only I suspect.

Dunno?
