Shall we have a little light hearted guess on how money postings will be made on the For Sale Forum between Boxing Day and New Years Day?

Or maybe the Wanted Forum for all the presents you wanted but Santa couldn't deliver.

I'll go with 25 on each (just to keep it easy)

If Santa is kind enough to give a new boat to anybody and they don't want it (any length, I'm not fussy) I would be more than willing to take it off their hands ! :))

No such thing as an unwanted gift for a yachtie, he'll fit it anyway, just as a spare! You know I'm right, how many GPS's have you got? Hmmmm I know I've got three and they're all onboard!
Admitted one's knackered, but I'll replace it!!

Hopefully will not be a problem, dropped enough hints to sink a car
transporting ship! started back in october, leaving boat mags open on
the appropriate page with big rings round items wanted, so should have
had plenty of time for it to sink in!
But will have to wait and see, probably have to force a smile, say, how
thoughtful dear more socks, more aftershave and that pink shirt what
can I say!!!!!!

I got 'Leaning to Sail with Bob Fisher' from my sister. Soon I'll be tacking and jibing across the Thames like the best of them. Not bad for a stinkie. /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

thinks you are spot on with your estimates.

unfortunately boats are a little like life - it's the socks and ties that you really appreciate at christmas rathr than th efancy bits - and for the boat ; well it's had the flash bits but a nice 10 -15 mtr of 8 mm (winch quality) chain would be appreciated.....but getting my act togethr and going out and sourcing it is another question!

merry xmas all - and a happy boating 2003

Well I dont suppose I'll actually put them up for sale, but my darling romantic boyfreind has just given me- well guess- a diamond ring? expensive perfume? something little but carefully selected and personal? NO- a pair of heated socks (size extra large- I would take "small")and one of those Seasearcher extra strong magnets. He tried to say the magnet WAS romantic- something about attraction- I dont buy it. His ex-wife then revealed he had asked her to shop for a present for me, like she had done for his Mum.
I hope all you men out there did better for your SWMBO's. I might put a post on the wanted section- New Boyfreind Wanted.
Actually, I can't complain- after all it was his money that bought our new boat- what better Christmas present can you get. I love him really!
