This seems like a stupid idea for a thread, but I'm genuinely interested and will take away any good ideas.

"What is you favourite sailing food that you love on a boat, but would never eat at home?"

Hate to admit it but I enjoy Pot Noodles.

Now you're talking! Sandwiches dipped in tomato soup doesn't do it for me, unless soup is hot!

My mouth is watering already. Do the chicken vindaloo fajitas come ready made from Iceland??? If so, it sounds like real quality food.

My own favourite :Corned beef hash
My 15 yr old son last year on arrival to late for the promised fish and chips made and ate a Pot Noodle sandwich. He was useful as shifting ballast for the next 2 days!

Forgot to ask Jimi- do you have a Jabsco Compact toilet and if so can it handle the load. There was a thread on PBO about various chemicals down marine toilets and the damage it can cause- chicken vindaloo waste was not mentioned, though judging from the damage it can do to certain biological valves, it must damage rubber.

Corned beef

Corned beef straight from the tin - yummy in mid-Channel, revolting in the kitchen; mini pork pies - great comfort food on night watches but get soggy and fall apart in oilie pockets; Dundee cake - that's great at home too, but I'm not allowed it.

Re: Corned beef

Mini pork pies- now there's the type of food we're looking for. I think the best food has to have either no nutritional value at all, or be so massively calorie and fat dense that you can get your whole days calorific intake in 2 bites.
