Some low life left a load of scrap and rubble on my boat last week.

That's a crude looking bog.

You'd be better off chucking it over the side /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

It was a present from Kawasaki, so I can't look a gift lobster in the mouth.

He suggested that I should chuck it over the side with a dead rabbit in it, but I now have the problem of finding one. On the trip to the boat the A55 goes through an area that has lots of Badgers and dead ones litter the side of the road, so I was wondering if a dead badger was a good substitute.

Starting to wonder if a Tesco lobster would be less hassle!

Easy. Large trap in the woods, baited with lobster.

It's blindingly obvious, when you think about it, especially as I figured out that the badger wouldn't fit through the pot's aperture without being trimmed a bit.

Actually it's a Duel Purpose model.
The 2 internal items can be used to crush Ones nuts.
Tiss also the Eco Friendly model.
Tiss Green with few moving parts.
The white code Flag is important too.
"I have an Ecofriendly Lobby potty thinghy Down"
Tiss to be hoisted when Fishing Commercially or for Pleasure.
I forgot to drop off the other Flag the Major needs. Two Rampant fingures on a Red background.
"This is a Fish Free Zone"
Particularly usefull when answering the Question---"Have You caught anything"
When it is a bit Windy.
Both Code Flags should be in the next issue of Col ( sorry Major) Regs. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Okay then, equipped with an assortment of dead animals and roadkill I am going to create a lobster free zone next week.

Does anyone else have any constructive tips? (Aside from buying from Tescos to avoid the inevitable disappointment and hunger)

Details of the expedition will be posted next week.

Oh dear.

I have a couple of the flip-up pots, but have not yet used them. Same problem with road kill rabbit. I have to go so fast to hit them round our way that it's miles to walk back to pick 'em up by the time I stop.

Some years ago I clocked one on the way to work, picked it up & dropped it in the boot. Told me mates about it at lunch time & they wanterd to see it, so off we trooped to the car park & I opened the boot just in time to see a rabbit with a big bald patch on the side of its head fly into the shrubbery nearby. We all just collapsed with laughter at the shock - and I never got that rabbit stewed!

Sorry about that but the Major asked first.
Hard Luck Matey
The Charts were delivered more on a Health and Safety aspect.
Having heard tales of Little Ship getting caught in Overfalls, Whirpools and getting battered in all kinds of nasty stuff, plus the fact that I was invited to go afloat on Her.
It was more about self preservation than anything else.
I have got an old Trawl, the Otter boards are a bit mankey but it would suit Little Ship I reckon. Can't be used above 7 kts so that should be ok.
Any good to You ,as Compo for missing out on the Pot?

Have you ever smelt a dead badger? No self-respecting lobster would get near it! Might keep the low-life away, though...

As you drive along the A55 - the North Wales coast road - you pass a road sign warning you about Moch Daear.

Which means Badgers.

Dead badgers litter the side of the road and occasionally, in hot weather, the smell of ripe badger fills the car.
