Have a pop down to Bagshot for their open day once a year, and watch the vehicles going through the water course. You'll see many in this deep, and they keep going. I've had water up on the windscreen of my jeep <g> Heaven help you if you stall though.

Water up to the wingtops on a Series motor is fine - my modded 90 is happy with water up to the sunroof, but it takes a while for the carpets to dry out. . . /forums/images/icons/wink.gif
