Looking at the Woolverstone Slip way, a couple of the tenders flipped over but none moved (far).

todays high very impressive our ramp was like a reverse ski slope & the ebb is dropping like a stone a metre gone already

Boston is looking like it might be very bad... In particular the lower areas to the north and north west...

Thankfully the inlaws came through it unscathed, had me worried all night as they live in a bungalow downhill from a river that used to take surges until the EA stuck a sluice gate in. For some reason the sluice wasn't opened so the river stayed at normal level all the way through it. They arrived here a couple of hours ago and admit they didn't realise what could have happened. Just can't understand why sluices weren't opened to ease flooding elsewhere, the rivers have flood banks and are supposed to take this sort of thing. Or so I thought

Felixstowe Ferry at lunchtime today.

Sailing club flooded last night, major drying out required!

Had an email from kings boat yard, everything down there is fine, they were well prepared although there was some flooding, they are ready again for tonight.

So what do we think is going to happen high tide overnight? Looks like it is easing off to me.

Looking at Wells alone, after watching the video from Macnorton I think they'll be relieved if it stays below last nights level, which could well be the case judging by this

At Fambridge we had about 10 inches of freeboard left on the sea wall.

Why? I thought that diesel engines can survive a ducking, perhaps it is other bits of the car, such as electrics and upholstery that have had it.

No it depends on transducers and ecu, apparently it switched itself on when it was drowning, as if it knew! Spooky!
