Floating windfarm?

Interesting idea, and if it gets turbines further offshore, then that's got to be a good thing for boaters, right?

I think I'll reserve judgement for now - there's quite a bit of floating junk in parts of the ocean already and can't help wondering how well they've thought it through! But hey, what could possibly go wrong?

I do agree that it's a better option than the (abandoned?) Solent proposal however - and if well away from shipping lanes/busy passages then risks of accidents are probably minimal.
