I have to fit some new Barton Winchers and remember the struggles I've had in the past. Coincidentally this morning I noticed this trick, which I offer to my fellow strugglers...

He's the guinea pig so I'll learn from his mistakes! I'm only 23ft so they should be perfectly adequate for my needs,will be good to see in action on slightly larger boat

Using very hot water and wearing gardening gloves was enough to get mine on. They do work but the winch needs to be fully loaded, so four turns for me.
