fitting a search light on sloping surface-help!

Hi i have bought one of those Jabsco remote control search lights but according to the manual they need a flat surface for mounting and all i got is a sloping (rounded) front end above the winscreen- can you get a grp structure to place/fix on the sloping rounded bit to make a flat surface???

Any suggestions welcome. oh the only flat place is on a top spoiler which houses the radar things- am concerned it could interfere??!!

Make a suitable wooden or pvc wedge to go underneath it. Or you could make a ring of plasticene & fill it with resin, it will harden flat & level, or grind it flat if it doesn't.

As Searush says, all the ones I've seen on a sloping surface have been fitted on a wedge shaped wooden base.
