Evening Peeps..

I've a Garmin Fishfinder that I purchased a year or so ago. I'd like to fit the transducer in the hull rather than hanging it off the back of the boat.

Now my boat is a Snapdragon 23 Triple-Keel and was wondering the best location for the Transducer? Reason I ask, is that I currently have the cockpit floor up so since there is no engine etc under there was wondering if that was the best location or should I go for somewhere further forward?

Any 'hot tips' for locating the little bleeder? :)

I wanted to change the location of mine from aft to underneath the hull or further for'd too, but figure wether its aft or for'd on a boat my size (23 ft) it aint gonna make that much difference apart from appearance :)

just find a flattish area that won't have a turbulent flow.

Try it out for while in a plastic bag partially filled with water laid on the inside of the hull.
Bed in silicone sealant when you're happy - you can easily relocate if you change your mind.

Thanks for the replies.. I tried it in a plastic bag in a couple of locations but didn't seem to want to play ball.
I know the 'Snappie' hull is quite thick but I didn't think that would affect it.
