Any personal recommendations re fishfinders?

My Eagle one has gone belly up and its time to replace it.
Used mainly for depth info but also handy for fishfinding and locating wrecks.

Not interested in depth capability greater than 100m.
Any good deals going? either at LBS or web

I have a Hummingbird PII, which is a cheap and cheerfull new style fishinder. So far, It seems to do everything I need, although I havn't caught any fish yet!. But, at £99 you really can't go wrong......I guess, like everything, it all comes down to budget.

The more you pay, the better screen resolution you will get, but I doubt you would catch any more fish and I'm sure the actual depth accuracy is similar on all models.

Good luck.
Paul.

Hi Phil
I have a Navman fitted on my boat the 4250 loads of funtions that are usefull particularly the side view, also useful is the water temp function, also if you get the next one up you can get a fuel flow meter as well I have found it clear and easy to use not badly priced either!!
