Fire At Wolverstone Marina...

...was a non event.

Drove down after lunch to find about six fire engines, the police, and the coastguard all belting down behind me. The thoughts that run through one's head... "Did I leave the gas on?" etc....

But no, it wasn't us. There had been a few sparks on the fuel barge, and obviously, because of the potentially devastating consequences of an explosion, the emergency services had a field day.

Calming down with a beer and a few cigarettes!!

Which goes to prove that the blue light brigade are just adrenaline freaks. Me, sparks on a fuel barge, I'd be breaking the speed limit heading in the other direction.
